Primal Scream cover punk classic at ‘secret’ London show
The band pay homage to the 100 Club’ s past
Primal Scream marked their first ever appearance at London’s 100 Club by covering a punk classic last night (August 31).

The band played a version of The Damned’s ‘Neat Neat Neat’ in the encore of their 17-song set at the ‘secret’ show.

The 100 Club famed for past performances from the likes of The Damned, the Sex Pistols and The Clash in the 70s and an early White Stripes show more recently.

The rest of the set was virtually identical to Primal Scream’s NME/ Radio 1 Tent headlining slots at last week’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals. There were five songs from new album ‘Riot City Blues’, including the singles ‘Country Girl’ and ‘Dolls’.

The set was:

‘Movin’ On Up’
‘Shoot Speed Kill Light’
‘Suicide Sally & Johnny Guitar’
‘Kill All Hippies’
‘Burning Wheel’
‘When The Bomb Drops’
‘The 99th Floor’
‘Swastika Eyes’
‘Country Girl’
‘Neat Neat Neat’
‘Skull X’

The show was MySpace’s first UK secret show. Tickets were only available to friends of The Secret Shows UK profile on MySpace here . Another ‘secret’ show will be announced shortly.
